Here's our brand new 42-man house. We were living on the on-campus Fraternity Court, but considerable rent hikes over the past few years forced us to move elsewhere. So in 2000 we purchased a large plot of land just off campus. The new house is part of a 5 house Greek Court with Chi Omega, Zeta Tau Alpha, Alpha Gamma Rho and Sigma Pi.
The ground was broken in the summer of 2001 and the house was completed in June of 2002. I was the first undergrad to move into the new house on July 1, 2002.
The house features 20 HUGE bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms and 5 half bathrooms. We have an elevator, a dining room, a spacious chapter room, full-size party room with stage and bar and lighting system, an industrial kitchen, parking for 50+ and room in the backyard for a volleyball court that we are puting in this summer.
We are very lucky to have dedicated alumni....otherwise this $3.2 million house would still be in the planning stages.
