About that local to national transistion....my chapter was a local sorority up until about 5 years ago when our entire sorority system decided to go national. That's why we're a baby chapter still
The transition was hard because many people still wanted to hold on to traditions we had as Betas, many of which would have been considered hazing by Kappa Nationals...slowly but surely most of that has been weeded out though! Here's my adivce for you girls that are going down to help out with Initiation...continue to be there for Eta Eta - even after you go back to your own campuses. Our chapter would have benefited greatly from having a "big sis" chapter to call upon from time to time...
