Why do chicks freak out over these things?? I swear, there are way more important things to freak out about then whether some guy has or has not called you back.
smr78, stop worrying about whether he's gonna call and just move on to the next guy. That way if he does call, you are cool and if he doesn't you are cool...see?
Also, women if you really are worried about this, stop being so daggone traditional and get a guy's number every once in a while. Then let him sweat wondering why you haven't called HIM.
