Would you like your new liver now or at the end of this year?

Far to many members of greek orgs forget that by taking on the letters of their respective organization they are taking on a responsiblity to conduct themselves within the values, ideals and concepts that their founders established. In most cases that does not include wild out of control parties.

Risk Management exists becacuse some where within the history of greek orgs we stopped remebering to watch out for our brothers and sisters. As a result, our family began getting hurt. And because we wouldn't stand up and take the blame, the responsiblity and make the necessary changes, our National organizations began to hold us accountable.

Most of the Rules exist for our safty. I've read several different risk managment policy, few if any forbid party's with alcholol. They just establish guidlines to prevent dangerous situations for ourselves and our guests. Every moment you are out of control because you are inebriated, you run a risk of hurting yourselves and others. Do you understand your liabity, the liablity you put on your brotherhood/sisterhood, and understand that risk every time you pick up a mug of beer?

The party's that are the most fun are the ones you can remeber. And ones that your not scared to death that one of your good friends might need to be taken to the emergancy room, or ones you spend wishing you'd stop puking the next moring because all that is left in your stomach is bile.
