I met one of my exes that way. I was browsing the AOL personals (back when they were free). I stumbled on this guy's pic and just had to write him. He had one of those goofy pics up on the internet, but he was sorta cute and as we exchanged emails I got to know him better.
All I have to say is that you can LIE LIE LIE on AOL! So many people make themselves out to be something they're not. Don't get me wrong...there are some good ones out there. However I don't put too much faith in online personals anymore....or even meeting people off the internet.
