As best I know, for my first name (Heather), it was one of the only names my parents could agree on. My mom wanted something really symbolic and meaningful and more than likely strange. Dad, thankgoodness, did not let that happen.
My middle name (Michelle) is from a little girl my parents used to babysit for right before I was born when they were living in Hawaii. I've actually never had any complaints about my name.
