Re: then its all good

I could really get into the southerner, idea. Because, by your definition, any one group of people could be classified as a southerner, regardless of where they come from. They all have to have a form of Group-Thinking.

Allow me to quote Jason Jones...

"My point is this: Alpha Phi Omega is guilty of GROUPTHINK! Yes, that's right. Preaching groupthink in the name of diversity. If I don't think or believe the ways that the majority of the brotherhood believes, then I am chastised and shunned. I believe this is the reason why there is so much debate over A-Phi-Q and APO in the brotherhood. Most of the all-male debates aren't really about being all-male. Deep down it's a cultural debate over norms, mores, and customs within the Fraternity. Ironically, Betsy gave some Convention tips in a 1992 issue of T&T, one of which listed "Beware of Groupthink". Go figure.

Alpha Phi Omega, I don't think that having brothers with different color skin tones on your membership roster is diversity. At best it's tolerance and tokenism. Diversity is respecting their individual cultures and norms. For brothers to be denied admission who have proven themselves serviceworthy but they don't meet some preconceived quota of "diverse brotherhood" but to embrace and welcome brothers who don't believe in God or practice homosexuality (an abomination), as a heterosexual, Christian male, I say that is SICK. IT'S REALLY SICK.

This A-Phi-Q issue will never die until the Fraternity can distinguish
diversity from groupthink."

..........

It is as if he thought the majority of individuals within Alpha Phi Omega, were I guess, Southerners.

Interesting.
