Diana Ross is going to do a duet with Mariah Carey for Mariah’s new CD Thru The Rain.

Usher is going to play the late Marvin Gaye on an upcoming episode of the NBC Show American Dreams. Usher is going to do Marvin’s 1963 classic Can I Get a Witness. Usher is also coming out with a live Cd of his summer concert on Nov. 12th.

Filming is currently underway for The Fighting Temptations. The Fighting Temptations stars Cuba Gooding Jr, Beyonce, Faith Evans, Ann Nesby, Melba Moore, Angie Stone, Shirley Caesar and The O’Jays.

Dru Hill returns with Sisqo on Nov. 26th. That’s when their new lp Dru World Order comes out.

Monique from the UPN Show The Parkers will be hosting the newly revamped Showtime at the Apollo. She’s also working on a book “Skinny Women Are Evil” and a comedy lp.

Despite the controversy and talks of protest, there will be a sequel to Barbershop. The movie starring Ice Cube, Eve, and Cedric the Entertainer has grossed over 50 million dollars and it only cost 12 million dollars to make.

Bobby Brown is hard at work on his new movie the Hip Hop Western Guns and Roses. In a recent TV interview, Bobby talked about the incident that landed him in the hospital over the summer. Bobby says he hurt his testicles on a wooden chair. (What was he doing? Was he naked?)

Crest has a new toothpaste designed for aging women. Singer/Actress Vanessa Williams is the spokesperson for the project.

Queen Latifah is returning to TV. Years ago Queen Latifah starred as Khadijah on the hit show Living Single and now she has signed a deal with CBS to star in and develop a mystery drama. On the show, Mali Anderson, Queen Latifah will play a former cop turned private detective.
