There REALLY is a Pigeon Creek, AL and a Greenville, AL. They are about an hour south of Montgomery. They are in Butler County off of I- 65. Weather or not the movie was filmed there, I don't know. I liked the movie. It wasn't the best movie I've seen, but it was'nt the worse one either. Though it appeared to make fun of southerners, in the end it made the south actually look good. Many Alabama refrences: Piggly Wiggly (a real grocery store chain), the dogs are "Bear" and "Bryant, the husband wants to move to Tuscaloosa and the divorce attorney's office is in Birmingham! You can see that on the envelope that Melanie takes to the post office.
