All I can say is that I am so happy fraternities use informal rush. Although it can be hard for some houses to get the guys to come out and see them, it is so nice not to have to go through all this technical stuff during rush. Techinically you could get 18 bids at my school, one from every fraternity, but you dont have time to make it to every house during open rush. Most likely you can make it to three or maybe 4 houses during open rush, and then those houses choose if they want to invite you back to closed rush. Makes everything so much easier, less confusing and I will admit no matter how many times my sorority friends sit me down and explain formal rush to me, I will never understand it for as long as I live.
