I wrote to the seller that I suspected the pin was newer, and she wrote me back a very nice reply:
I called her and you are absolutely right. She was BORN in the 1940s and so
obviously did not JOIN the sorority until the late 1950's - early 1960s. I
am unable to change the auction because there is a bid on it; I have
amended it though. My sincere apologies for the error. I just flat screwed
that one up!
It's nice to see a pin seller who is responsive and polite! It's a refreshing change from sellers like the one KDDani posted about.
