Miss America: talent, but still have to look good.

It's all misogynistic, sexist, degrading, outdated crap anyway. Just apply for a damm scholarship, if that's what it's really all about! And why aren't men subjecting themselves to this? Stop entering, we won't have to complain about being seen as a body. If it was REALY about talent, anyone should be able to enter and win if she were smart enough and artistic enough. But the fact that you STILL throw bathing suit and evening gown competitions in there, sorry, it negates the whole arguement....And, no, I don't think this way because I don't think I'd win, blah blah blah, it's because I think we are worth more than our beauty.
"Time erodes all such beauty, but not the wonderful workings of your mind." Love that quote from "Little Women"....
Hi Sigma,

I think we should all remind ourselves that Amy, the charming feminine sister who was not afraid to display her worldly elegance and ambitions, got the handsome and rich Laurie... while outlandish and boyish Jo had to settle with a middle-aged professor.

XOXO,
Annie.
