None of us wants our letters attached to clown behavior. But my point is, some of the stupidity, partying irresponsibly, hazing, and underage/over the top drinking tied to Greek orgs across the board isn’t much different than what that girl did on her own. And every council has documented cases. That’s why I don’t see why it matters if she’s Greek or not. The behavior is the same. Heavy drinking and clown behavior are so common in Greek life that I’m actually more surprised she isn’t Greek.

And real talk though, Greek life has weathered hazing deaths, lawsuits, racism scandals, bans on entire chapters, and it’s still here. One student arrest doesn’t change perception. So if Greeks can survive decades of our own scandals and stupidity, one drunk girl (Greek or non-Greek) misbehaving with or without letters isn’t moving the needle. It really isn’t.

Then you’re kind of contradicting yourself since you yourself are Greek. At my school and at most schools in the D9, Ques and Kappas are the most wild of us, and you’re a Kappa, PB LOL

No contradiction at all. It’s completely possible to join a GLO without becoming the stereotype, that’s the part people forget. Saying “if she’s Greek, it’s embarrassing or worse” doesn’t hold water, because Greeks have already done the same that she has and worse. Attaching shame to this one girl is inconsistent with our own history (across the board), plain and simple.
