Carnation, I would too. I have several good friends who have daughters that are currently actives there. Lots of grumbling this week about some chapters having to release more than usual (and releasing many PNMs that they really wanted); so that Alpja Phi would get a lot. Congratulations to your niece!
I have known several PNMs who went to schools who had new chapters coming up, and quota was cut to help the new chapters. Panhellenic pushed and pushed the new chapter but the girls weren't having it, with PNMs dropping before they would take the new group. Others felt that they were almost forced into listed the new group second and told that almost everyone gets their first choice. This is one reason that Greeks get a bad reputation.
