Alpha Sigma Alpha will be closing its chapter at the University of Arizona, it appears to be effective at the end of this semester. Due to low membership numbers.

While I'm devastated for the sisters and alumnae (old and new) of this chapter, it is a venture we never should have undertaken to begin with. The niche they attempted to fill needs to be filled by a non-NPC group.

That's wonderful news!!! UCLA and San Luis Obispo are their closest Collegiate chapters.
I wonder if they might move into the Tri Delta house for awhile?

Info: that is the original Chi Omega facility on El Colegio. Next door to my house. We would compete to see who finished membership selection first, and we’d run to each other’s back doors/ parking lots/front entrance and sing “good night Chi O” or if they finished first it would be “good night Theta”, to the tune of “good night ladies”. Fun times!
Chi O may have retained the property. Hope so.

Thank you for sharing that information. Hopefully Chi O has held on to the property.
I love the tradition of Chi O and Theta singing to each other!

Unfortunately, Chi O sold the house several years ago.

Sigma Delta Tau interest group at University of Cincinnati?
At our Cincinnati City Panhellenic meeting last night it was reported that UC Panhellenic voted in April to consider expansion. The consideration is for an interest group of 50 women who want to restart the Sigma Delta Tau chapter which closed in 1997.

My introduction to greek housing letters on a shape, resembling a greek org's badge, was when viewing the Sigma Delta Tau torch on their chapter house at the University of Cincinnati.
I hope the current Cincinnati students interested in SDT will.continue that type of outdoor house letters tradition, should their interest group become a reorganized SDT chapter with house.
I also recall viewing many greek house letters on signs resembling an org's badge when visiting Indiana University.
