This old story may put me on cheerfulgreek's bad side, but I'll tell it anyway:
Super Bowl IV was played 55 years ago between the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings, and was the first SB I watched on a color tv. Our family watched the game with loads of relatives, over for food and fun, at my grandparents home not too far from the border of Minnesota.
When they asked a very young me which team I thought would win I chose KC, but only because they had red uniforms. I liked the color red, and disliked the color purple.
Everyone else cheered for Minnesota, but the team with the red uniforms won it.
Super Bowl V the next year, between the Baltimore Colts and Dallas Cowboys, wasn't even shown in our state because neither of the teams was from our area. TV stations way back then had the option to not show the Super Bowl, so my Dad had to listen to the big game on the radio as he worked outdoors on our roof.
