Well, the first announcement has come - expecting there will be more. Pi Beta Phi is closing at Birmingham Southern due to the College closing at the end of this academic year.

Dang. Well, expect 5 more to follow. KD and AOII have chapters at UAB and Samford. Chi O and Zeta have chapters at Samford. I don't know if the chapters will merge with their Birmingham counterpoints upon closure.

Pi Phi and Alpha Chi have strong chapters elsewhere in Alabama, but not in metro Birmingham.

How close to each other are these schools?

UAB, Samford, and BSC? BSC is in west Bham, UAB is downtown, and Samford is south of town.
