Kenyon no longer allows local groups to form; so, if 60% of the pnms dropped out or did not get a bid and are still interested in being in Greek Life, this is their only option.

I hope my sorority does well and helps to give PNMs more options.

What in the world?! If they have a 60% drop rate, the solution to their problems isn't to add a new sorority.

They probably want to join nationals, not locals, and there is only national sorority on campus. It also sounds like the locals want to stay that way.

I only saw this in a local system with one NPC chapter where typical NPC rules didn't apply (RFM, quota, etc.) The sororities could decide their pledge class numbers and many people were cut from recruitment before bid day, even if they had gone to a specific chapter for pref.

Alpha Chi Rho has been closed at Coastal Carolina University(SC). Closure is due to hazing allegations.

Pi Kappa Alpha has received a one year suspension from the University of Arkansas. If all sanctions are followed, the chapter can renew operations in December, 2024.

Congrats to the charter members of Delta Sigma Theta at UC-Merced! They are the first NPHC sorority to join the campus! They had 5 charter members!

The IU chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha has been suspended by its national organization. This comes on the heels of Delta Upsilon's suspension by its national headquarters.
(What the heck is going on at my alma mater?)
