I see your point, but I still disagree.
Sigma prided themselves on "not judging books by their covers", which is very admirable! It seemed to me that the sisters who were opposed to Jordan and the others were not really judging them solely on their appearance (as Leslie made it sound like they were). They sincerely felt these girls were only interested in the TV, that they were not excited about Sigma, and that they would not be comfortable with them as sisters. I was Rush chair when I was active, and if my sisters had so vehmently opposed some rushees like these girls did, I'd trust my sisters. THAT is staying true to yourself and your sisterhood (IMHO).
Another note, it says on the Sigma website that they DID change their policy this year to deter girls who were only interested in the TV aspect. Yet, on the show, they clearly said they extended bids to everyone. Anyone clear on this one?
