-Ball glove (etc sports equipment) if you can, esp for girls - great way to talk to guys

-Winter clothes (if applicable) - it will definitely be cold before Thanksgiving, so plan for it (yeah, I didn't)
I've also forgotten TVs, pillows, sheets, blankets, shoes (as in all but what I wore on the plane), etc in various years - it's easy to forget the 'normal' stuff in the hustle of moving, so try to get that stuff first.
