I keep hearing mixed messages about the availability of tests. My mom had a relatively easy time (in Summit, NJ), so I'm thinking it's very regional. Does anyone have any info or first-hand experience with people either getting tested or denied, and if so, where?
Hope mom and step dad do ok.

The media like to hype the "disaster" scenario. Like your experience, I know people that have tested and it was basically uneventful. They are usually feeling much better by the time the result get back.

There is also a line of thought that you shouldn't get tested if you have only mild "flu like" symptoms. Why? Because you're going into an infected area. Something like 90% of the test are coming back negative. So is it worth it? Each person should make their own choice depending on what makes them most comfortable. Good luck to all.
