Miss Black Teen Scholarship Pageant

I was really not going to reply to this at all but I must say this.
There are a lot of folks who feel that a BLACK anything is wrong. Why? To me, this pageant is a vehicle for Black Teens who might not have the means to compete in the "everybody" pageant, meaning no race. Not only that but isn't it great that this pageant INSURES that at least one Black teen gets a college scholarship that might not be won in the Miss AMERICA one.

Face it, Blacks have had to create things everywhere. When one door was closed, WE (Blacks) built our own building with our own door and WALKED on in.

Blacks not allowed to attend college, we built HBCUs.
Blacks not allowed in fraternities and sororities, we CREATED our own.
BLACKS not allowed in pageants, we created our own.
Blacks not receiving scholarships, we created our own.

Whenever there is a need, then someone has the vision to create a means to meet that need.

It is not about racism, but it is about advancement and achievement.

You might not understand it or support it, but by GOD don't knock it. If it were not for the visionaries, there might be a BLACK young lady not making it to college each year because the money is not there.
