Death Penalty-Change your mind yet?

Dude, I was agreeing with you. I'm not assuming they're the same argument--it was primarily focused to those who are prolife who spout off about the "sanctity of all human life", but are death penalty supporters. I think they should be a little consistent in their beliefs.

The last post before mine bugged the hell out of me about the veal thing, so I decided to go off on that. Eggs are treated the same way. It has nothing to do with the post at hand. I agreed with the sentiment I think you were trying to state when you asked that question.

Oh, the wheels are turning. I think a lot of what I said was convoluted. When I was typing, I was trying not to show my annoying co-worker what I was doing. Boh.

Um, I'm one of the inconsistent people... In my eyes, there is a great deal of difference between punishment for a horrific crime as compared to being cut up and sucked through a vacuum because you merely "exist".

That said, I heard the average stay on death row in California is 20 years.

As far as the chickens go-I like fried chicken and mashed potatoes, too bad I can't afford free range chicken. But a dead chicken is a dead chicken either way.

I'd get a dog from the pound before a puppy mill, but don't BOTH deserve to be "saved".

Life is full of inconsistencies. People say they value life and do everything to protect and enhance it. Yet, they smoke, drive without seat belts, avoid exercise have unprotected sex. Is that to say, unless you take the hard line straight down the road you don't value your own life? Often, when we examine our own actions, we will find inconstancy.

Wanted to add-I also eat tuna, but only if it is dolphin free.
