you all are going to say "Is she out of her gourd?" but in a way I think this could be a good thing.

I think there are a lot of kids being forced to go to college who would rather be working in another profession. Their grades show it...their lack of involvement in the campus shows it. So maybe if it costs more to send them, their thick-headed parents will realize "you know, maybe my son would be a better plumber than accountant" and stop forcing them to attend. Not everyone needs or wants to go to college, and we should stop assuming everyone should. If you weed out the ones who don't want to be there, it will make the campus stronger, be a more positive experience for everyone. and probably increase positive alumni involvement (i.e. $$$).

I know it is still hard for a lot of people who WANT to be in school to get student funding...as usual, unfortunately, the people in the middle are the ones who get screwed.
