COB can be a great alternative, especially if grades impact a girl being released from houses. If a girl can do well her first semester of college it opens up possibilities for COB. Getting to know girls in the houses she is interested in helps a lot. COB often goes best for girls who have friends in the sorority they are interested in. Not all houses will COB, but many do.
