Something that I think would be better to replace them would be Bid Day videos. I actually quite enjoy watching those from last year over pre-recruitment videos because they're pretty different from sorority to sorority. Plus, they show what "really" happens as opposed to something scripted and edited.
Alpha Phi has a professionally-shot video (same person) from last fall's bid day -- it's awesome. And real.
