AGDAlum I will double check with my daughter but I am fairly certain she told me they did go to the Quad for Bid Day reveal. I think that then each group of girls went from the quad back to their new chapters for welcome parties there.

AGDAlum according to the Panhell FB page from the day before Bid Day, the reveal was scheduled for the Quad so I assume that is where it took place. I'm curious though--I looked on youtube in the days following Bid Day to see if there was any footage of the new members opening their envelopes from this year. There are videos on youtube from the last several years but I did not see any from this year. Anyone have one? Or pictures?

Here is a video that shows a little bit of bid day, but is more a story told from the Pi Chi's point of view. These videos get me every time and I get so emotional. I would love it if my daughter was a Pi Chi at some point, though I am sure next year is looking forward to recruitment as an active sister.

Thanks so much NorthernMom! It was great to get a little glimpse of Bid Day. I've heard that being a Pi Chi is a terrific experience. I know what you mean it is really fun to see these videos and tap into what our daughters are experiencing right now. Such an exciting time!

Mizzou recruitment update!
Just an update, as my dear daughter is now a proud initiated member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She is still thrilled with her decision and is gradually getting to know her many, many sisters. They are currently in the flurry of Homecoming preparations and my daughter is pomping her little fingers to the bone. We are going to Columbia for Dad's weekend on Halloween with the whole family because my husband did not want to drive 8 hrs each way by himself. I can't wait to see the house and meet some of her sisters. I hope the other young women mentioned in this thread are doing well, too! As I read back through the thread I can't believe this was only 2 months ago. I am very glad that we have this chapter behind us and am looking forward to the future. Thankfully, my next daughter is 3 years away from college, so I have some time before going through this three ring circus again!

Congrats to your initiated daughter! Mine has her initiation on Sunday. She is enjoying ZTA very much! We were there for Family Weekend and got a tour of the house. All the sorority houses there are so beautiful! Walked right past the Theta house.
Zeta did a bid day video. It's all footage of them back at the house getting ready for the girls to arrive after getting their bids (wish it showed them too), but it's still cute!

OK....I take that back. She just texted me "I am an active!". She got switched to today, apparently. I guess they do it over 2 days.
