Any time any Greek gets bad press, it affects us all. Not just that chapter, not just that national, and not just that school. We need to be aware of it so we can counteract it. Mmcat, I assume, was simply posting to keep the rest of us informed. If this info is in her alum newsletter, it's no secret - it's too late to keep the media from hearing about it.
It's possible she has a secret agenda to destroy the good name DST, but I have to say that if so it's a pretty stealthy operation! She is usually very positive.
