As the daughter of a plane crash victim, I know only too well what the families are going through. I pray that they have some answers soon.

I know the ocean is a big place, but seriously.... NOTHING? I am thinking that this plane was hijacked & flown right into the ocean. No other explanation that I can come up with for it to have changed direction with absolutley no communication from the flight crew.

Authorities said for the first time Saturday that Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 veered sharply off its flight plan because of “deliberate action by someone on the plane,” communicated with satellites for hours after it disappeared and might have ended up thousands of miles away.

Prime Minister Najib Razak stopped short of saying that the plane was hijacked. He said that the investigation would concentrate on both the passengers and the crew.

“I wish to be very clear,” he said. “We are still investigating all possibilities as to what caused MH370 to deviate form its original flight path.

”His disclosures, at a press briefing in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, represented the first big break in the investigation since the plane disappeared a week ago, with 239 people on board, on an overnight flight to Beijing.

The one thing about the the airlines is they won't call this a tragedy and just stop. They will keep searching until they find the plane and more importantly the black box and learn an amazing amount about what happened.

It is a travesty that all of these people now get to live in a fish bowl while people watch them cry and be devastated. My suggestion to you if you agree is 1-change the channel and 2- send an email TELLING them you changed the channel.

Officials have revised the account of the last words that came from the cockpit of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 — the latest about-face in the ever-shifting investigation into the jet's disappearance.

The Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation said Monday that the last communication with the air traffic controller was "Good night, Malaysian three seven zero."

Weeks earlier, officials reported the last words were: "Alright, good night."

The cause of the discrepancy was unclear.

Has anyone been following this as closely as I have? I'm now at a point where I don't even really click on stories anymore; I'm just waiting for the huge headline reading "Debris pulled from ocean linked to lost plane" or "Fuselage found". Until then, it seems the stories are just a way to get clicks on a page.

The one thing that I did find curious: Last week, all planes and ships were headed to a point off the coast of Australia where a lot of debris had been spotted. It seems as though nothing was pulled out of the water before more debris was found hundreds of miles north and the theory of the flight's speed changed, and then the entire search moved northward as well. Why not follow the other leads they previously had? Why not try to track down the initial debris that was spotted and try to identify it? Did I miss something?

This story isn't going anywhere, It's just too bizarre to fall off the radar (no pun intended). None of the explanations or theories of what may have happened completely add up so if they aren't able to recover the black box in a decent time and manner to get the data off of it flight 370 will be the greatest aviation mystery since Amelia Earhart (sp?).

I agree Pika. Nothing adds up. I heard some report a day or two ago that a US ship with the ability to pick up the black box ping was just heading out to help. Have they really not had any ships with that ability out looking already?

Mystery Pulses Consistent With Black Box, But No Confirmation

Australian officials said the "pulse" signals detected by a Chinese ship searching for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 are consistent with those of the aircraft's black box.

China's state news agencies CCTV and Xinhua reported Saturday that China's marine surveillance ship Haixun 01 picked up a signal at 37.5 kilohertz.

That frequency is currently the international standard frequency for the underwater locator beacon on a plane's black box, but Australian and U.S. officials could not verify the pulses are connected to the missing flight.
