Thank god I got to do my own apartment. My parents were too exhausted from moving furniture up to even worry about the decor.
But my mother does have the awful habit of still trying to dress me every time I come home. She lives and dies for cruise wear, I swear. She picks out lipstick pink tops and disastrously floral skirts with pumps to boot for me. She comments all the time that I look like I am going to prep school when I go to church. I'll be getting dressed to go out with friends and she will come into my room and start holding up gaudy necklaces against my dress. This habit was almost the end of my debutante ball. I chose simple Vera Wang cuts, she favored Bob Mackie type wedding dresses! Can't wait till my wedding...
