A very sweet informal recruitment story!!

Hello!

Earlier in August, I posted my sisters recruitment story here, but due to grades and petty reasons, she ended up dropping out of recruitment.

However, her school is starting informal recruitment and she has gotten invites to informal events for this week and next week. The first one is this week and I will be using the same candy aliases I used before. The houses she's visiting as of now are:


-Starburst (Next week)
-Laffy Taffy (This week
-M&M (Next week)


She is very excited and grateful she's getting a second chance and has humbled herself and is ready to have another shot at recruitment! I hope the second time is the charm, i'll keep y'all updated so stay tuned!

Hello guys!

So yesterday and today, she went to Laffy Taffy.

Yesterday was a spa day and she said the conversations were alright and the girls were nice, but like formal recruitment she didn't feel really connected with them.

Today at the second party she talked to mostly newer members of this pledge class and she said they were basically just gossiping and talking about how the old president is gone now and how things were changing and they were going to be way different.

She felt awkward about that since she didn't have much to say about that, but she said she liked somw of the newer members she talked to

Overall she feels lukewarm about them. She described them as the weird friend you have that nobody else understands the friendship, but she still likes them.



Excited for the rest of the parties from the other houses! And she said her friends from about 3 or 4 other houses said their house is doing informal too, so she's even more excited about that as well.

At this time, no. She has been invited to other parties and she doesn't want to jump the gun without giving the other houses a look as well.

She explained this to them and they were very understanding and still extended the offer!

Sorry! I completely forgot I made this thread! After going to 3 other houses, she said she didn't feel a connection and couldn't see herself there and she did something she did not ever think she would do and joined Laffy Taffy!

Thanks! She's very excited! She's already ordered her pin, is doing recruitment workshops and is excited for Greek Week next month. Their partners are coincidentally her favorite fraternity!

I'm guessing, as it is now late April, that your sister has already gone through initiation, so congrats to her on that.
