This may not help, but it's the Crawdad Song! I've been humming it all summer. It's also the tune we use for "Alpha Xis Never Drink", which some other groups use, too (I learned it first from an Alpha Gam as "Alpha Gams Never Drink"), if you've heard that one. You can hear the tune, badly and very slowly, at http://hometown.aol.com/music4kidsmore/page3.html. Or if you've got a piano, I think it's these notes:
