As for her perjury, she probably took the fall for Zimmerman. It reminds me of every instance when people take the fall for someone or something that they consider to be worth the risk.

She had $135,000 in the bank and told the judge her family was indigent. Not only was that self-serving perjury, it was stupid. If she had told the legal team about the money, no way in hell they'd have let her get by with that whopper without quickly correcting the testimony, so it's even pretty safe to assume she wanted to hide the money from the lawyers.

In a word, she's shady.

If she's trying to hide assets from the court and from the attorneys who are going to want to be paid attorney fees from those assets, it's self-serving.
