There was a good quote from Kim Crawford (No. 45) on the list. She's a VP at Dell Computer:
"The only way African Americans are going to be uplifted is if we make major strides in the business front. The keys to improving the community are improvement in education and improvement in our participation in
capitalism." (I added the italic).
I like this kind of thinking.
