There are white ribbons tied to every tree visible throughout the town, courtesy in a large part to Concordia University's athletes. Well, except one - it had a gold ribbon tied around it, with a black kite on the front! I tried to get a picture, but couldn't get out of traffic. Thought you all would want to know.

Thanks for posting this. I'm from River Forest, and my grandmother and all her sisters were Thetas, so this is especially touching. My parents were telling me about all the ribbons. Although I didn't know her, it is clear that we lost a wonderful young lady. I am honored to be from her hometown.
