Have you considered researching Sigma Upsilon, which was established at Colorado State Teachers College in 1905 and was established as a "state sorority". Not to be confused with the now defunct THETA Sigma Upsilon.
Also, there was Pi Delta, founded at Kansas State Teachers College in 1926 and quickly established a chapter at Colorado State Teachers College by 1930. If you enjoy a mystery, you should research Pi Delta.
