I can't imagine the interview could have gone better.
Now I wait.

So in 3 days I need to get in an application for a law school I never would have considered applying to. I need prayers to get it in and of courses prayers for them to make the right decision.

So our move back (my husband's transfer) got approved! We're really happy to be going home! I have talked to my boss, and although she was going to talk to her boss about me working out of NC, it will more than likely not happen.
I'm still waiting to hear back on a few jobs I put in for, but lots of positive thoughts and prayers are needed for me to have a job when we move to NC in January!!

So I guess I'm double posting here (since I posted last), but I could use some prayers for my father in-law. He went to the ER last night because his leg was in so much pain, that he couldn't stand on it. They found that there was barely any pulse in his leg and his leg was cold, so they think there's a blood clot where he has a stint from a bypass surgery he had 10 years ago. They did surgery on him VERY early this morning and will be in the ICU for a little bit while they monitor it. He'll be in the hospital for a few days. My mother in-law is there with him, but she is disabled and in a wheelchair, so there's only so much she can do.
My husband and I are now planning on going up to NC earlier than planned (since we were going for Thanksgiving). Positive thoughts and prayers would be appreciated!!

After reading the tragic stories on this thread it seems selfish to ask for thoughts and prayers for 2 dear, dear people. They have loved each other for over 40 years but let foolish pride and stubbornness separate them back during the Vietnam war. It is my prayer that they can be happy together soon.

No word yet on the job.
I did just get word that I am one of two professors to win a Faculty Excellence Award, and a prominent member of the hiring committee runs the FEA program, so - maybe?

The family of one of my chapter Brothers contacted us on Thanksgiving because they have not had any contact with him for 3 months. To make things worst, he is Army Guard, though I don't know if his unit is deployed or not.

Requesting positive thoughts please for a good neighbor and friend to my father. She underwent surgery today following a possible stroke. In her current state she has very limited communication skills, and this woman LIVES to share contact with others. Thank you and all the best...

A friend of mine from home told me today that her daughter has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease. Kristin is a beautiful young woman of 18, just started college, and has been going through tests for the past months.
Could I ask that people keep Kristin in their thoughts & prayers? She has a lovely attitude about this, but of course, is scared. Just remember how you would have taken this news at 18!
