She indicated that parties were scheduled for 1)noon 2) 1:20pm 3) 2:40pm if that helps anyone. I don't get a play-by-play account from her, which is good in that this is totally her experience. I know she is tired, though, and happy that the process is almost over (in a good way!).

Awesome! It looks like all good news so far for PNMs in this thread.

I'd say that moms sipping Mimosas at a brunch probably conjures an image more sedate and organized than it actually is -- but there is no doubt that Bid Day is an economic boost to the local gift shops and florists!

When I was a pledge at Bama, I don't think I was even given a lavalier until we were matched with our Big Sisters. Of course this was also back in the day when, unless your mom was an alum of your chapter and happened to be there on bid day, you called her (eventually) with the news, long distance, from a landline.

The Big Sis/Little Sis 'event' has changed a lot over the years too -- on my dd's campus this was quite the craft smackdown, and involved an excessive (IMO) amount of sorority-related accessories, decor and sportswear (last I heard, however, common-sense limits were being imposed -- thankfully).
