High School Reunion

I've gone to all the ones we've had -- 10th, 20th and 30th -- and have enjoyed them all. Some of my classmates I keep up with now on FB, but others I don't.

Part of the dymanic for me may be that I'm from a small town, so most of my graduating classmates were people I had gone all the way through school with. Our reunions always include family picnics, which give us all a chance to see each others' kids, and now, sometimes grandkids.

I went to my 10-year reunion. I wish I hadn't wasted the money or time. The classmate who planned it went with a reunion factory - the company went to a hotel and rented out the ballroom, which could be divided into five sections, so they hosted five reunions simultaneously, and we could clearly hear the DJs and conversations through the airwalls (hello headache). We all left the moment the open bar ended.

My husband and I went to his 10-year reunion, and we're planning on attending his 20-year reunion in a few months. The 10-year reunion was planned by alums who actually gave a damn... same for the 20th.

My 20th ... frell 'em all.
