The past few semesters my chapter of ADPi has kept with a tradition. Each new member is given half a poem. Each take turns and read it out load. When they finish their part their big sis (diamond sis) finishes it. I know that I always picked out poems that showed how much I really cared for my new lil sis(diamond sis). I liked doing revealing this way, because you got those really touching moments.>>>>>>
This is slightly how we do it too. We have a candle passing that reveals our bigs and littles. The new lil will get up in the middle of the circle and read half of a poem that her big sis chose. After she has read half of it the candle starts going around, it will usually stop at some people that are in the bigs family and of course many people try to trick the new little. It usually gets really emotional, but it was one of the most special things I think I have ever experienced.
