G passed away this afternoon surrounded by many friends and family members, including hypo. G's twin sister asked the group to hang out with her tonight, so hypo just left. My son, who also liked G a lot and hung out with her, is still on his backpacking trip and has no access to anything. I sent him a text asking him to call his mom before he gets on Facebook. I hope he does that so I can tell him myself. Several of the boys on his trip were close to G also.
I know G is in a better place and is no longer suffering. She was brave until the end of her time on this earth. Her family and friends though... my heart breaks for her family and friends. This is not the typical post senior year summer for any of them, but they have some time to support each other before they head off on their separate ways to colleges all over the country.
