So far 844 are registered at Texas. This is MUCH less than expected!

1200 +/- registered at University of Arizona. It will be interesting to see how that Friday "day off" influences the numbers/returns for Preference.

I think they have found at other schools that putting a break in the middle keeps more girls in the process. Hopefully that will be true of Arizona as well. A little rest and time for reflection is a good thing. I would have thought it would work the other way, but schools seem to be going that way and not going back after trying it, so that seems indicative of something.

I'm sure you'll let us know how it goes. Let the number crunching begin!

I'd like to second this. When I went through we had a one day break between rounds and it was great. My rush group really bonded well and I still remember our shopping trip together that day. Even a one day break can make a big difference. Recruitment is really stressful and being able to relax and catch up on some sleep makes sense.

I am shocked that UT's numbers aren't higher than 844..we were over 1100 last year..it's hard to imagine that we would be the only school that is "less" this year with the trend of sorority recruitment going up..
any thoughts out there?

the last number reported is now 1956 with 2 days left till the deadline (although that was posted on the 6th) so it may be more today!

Does anyone have an idea of the numbers registered for recruitment at Texas A&M? Registration does not close until mid August. I think the 15th.

Well, if quota is 45 or so (probably reasonable with that number of rushees), would the chapters risk not meeting chapter total? And there's always COB, which would draw in some of those girls who didn't want to go through formal and solve the problem from a different direction.
