When you are asking for a REC, please don't address me by my first name in an email. I am Mrs. Atrianglepi, not A. Especially if you don't know me. Also be sure I am actually a member of the group for which you need a REC. Finally, when you are sending out several emails, make sure you have the correct email address with the person's name. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
