Mrs. McCluskey's storyline really added a lot of emotion to the DH series finale. Also knowing that Kathryn Joosten had cancer in real life made it even more so, I think. In a way, it’s fitting that she died only a few weeks after her character, as they had been living parallel lives in a sense.
