At my chapter our code of standards put somethings about clothing in writing.
Such as you cannot wear cut off shorts with letters, period! Khaki or black shorts are preferred to jean shorts with stitched letter shirts.
You cannot wear letters in a bar, or while drinking.
You cannot wear letters while smoking (wear a jacket overtop)

I have to say at formals and such we always had a ball, and everyone basically knew what everyone else was wearing beforehand. I never saw a sister show up looking trashy. I did see sisters end up quite intoxicated and they were taken home.

I have to say that when I pledged those rules were strictly enforced and of late they have been slacked on. I think the new EC plans on changing that, though. Thank god
