These are just my musings as people seem to ask why we care about spelling and grammar. I'm only a year out of college and don't understand why people think it is okay to slack off like this.

Well, it would probably be the first time in GC history that a thread stayed exactly on topic. Sorry, but just because you started the thread doesn't mean you get to dictate how others respond.
For future reference, if you want to be taken seriously, write like someone who wants to be taken seriously. If you want to be treated respectfully, treat others respectfully, regardless of your opinions on what they have to say.
