Technically it was 47 +5QAs.
I am very proud of the women. They worked so hard and did such a great job with everything.

Interesting. So even with the weird system at Indiana, they still take QA's. Maybe they're ever so gently cracking the ceiling. So far, so good on the numbers posted for Indiana. I'm sure there were a lot of disappointed girls, but these numbers aren't crazy low as far as I'm concerned.

So with bed quota, ADPi gets to have an 84 new member class but other groups only get to have around 50 because it's a bed quota? That seems really unfair..I know it's been discussed on here but I just don't get it. So...if a sorority wants to grow, they have to build a bigger house?

ADPi allows live outs AND they have a beautiful massive chapter house. Only a handful of chapters allow seniors to live out, which combined with bed rush causes the low placement rate.

It's not "unfair." There is nothing in the IU Panhellenic constitution or anything from IU in general to prevent the other sororities from taking just as large of pledge classes, if they change their live in/live out policy. It's an individual chapter decision.
As has also been stated on here, this is not something that the groups' nationals or NPC approves of, but there are a lot of things that nationals and NPC don't approve of that they suck it up and deal with if they want a chapter at a desirable school.

It's not what they GET to do, it's what they CHOOSE to do. Every chapter there could take as many girls as they want. If ADPi wanted to set their quota at 100, they could. And if XYZ sorority wanted to set their quota at 10, they could do that as well.
