IF you get a bid, you're going to cross paths with the members of these groups you "didn't want" many times. Going to a half hour (probably less) party is not that bad. Suck it up. You need to open your mind a whole lot right now if you want to get a bid from anyone and limiting your choices in any way is a bad plan.

Sciencewoman: the locals and NPCs rush together at her campus. There is really no differentiation between the two as far as rush rules, quota/total etc.

And East Stroudsburg =/= Bloomsburg, so these may not be the same person.

Good grief. I was clearly under the influence of something while posting in that thread.

Don't mind her.. She apparently doesn't care enough to have her posts make sense, either.

The bold text is the only portion of the post that makes sense.

Many times, girls receive open bids AFTER they have gone through formal rush. They may have set their sights on a sorority that didn't bid them, or dropped out before signing a bid, or dropped out for other reasons. Suffice it to say, they didn't "choose that sorority only" to begin with.

OR, a woman may receive an open bid because she knows the majority of the sisters. For example, my chapter had many sisters who were in band. They often gave open bids to girls who were also in band without the girls going to a single party, since everyone knew them already.

If you don't know the majority of the sisters well OR have not checked out all the other sororities previously, trying to COB for one sorority only is not a good idea. It makes you look 1) stalkery and obsessed or 2) like you think getting a bid from them is easy peasy/like you heard they take anyone, so surely they'll take you.

and because my grades are up and im academically stable i feel i am ready to rush...

and about my earlier question bout COB's...what i meant was they don't really get a chance to know the COB's since its just one party...so why would they give a bid to them? at my school they have a COB night and u can get a bid from that night..but if you dont you can still continue with rush the following week. do u get it?

Okay...this is just stupid. You said you had a 2.12 gpa. based on general math skills (which I assume you think none of us have) If you took 18 hours (which most Universities do not allow students on Academic Probation to take that many hours) & pulled all A's (HAHAHA...this made me just chuckle) you would then have about a 2.8.

(This was all based on you having on 30 hours of credits...which would not make you a Jr. ) If you were a Jr., you can not pull up your GPA that fast against 60 hours. Liar Liar...Pants on Fire

I'm bored with this Child.
