You're not allowed to do that without a wait of a calendar year. Girls could have tried Sigma Kappa, dropped, and then gotten a bid from an established sorority since SK is a colony, but not the other way around.
If this really has been happening, your school's Greek Life office needs to put a stop to it or get their heads out of their asses.
