Having been a percussion major, I can tell you that occasionally this word can get dirty..but most of the time it isn't.

For those of you who aren't musicians: It's a pattern of beats played a certain way on a snare drum. A paradiddle consists of four strikes, with the hand pattern R L RR, L R LL. There are also double and triple paradiddles.

Oh my, I think my description sounds dirty

My favorite not-dirty word: bibliophile. It's someone who loves books.
